1) Prepare a systematic time table
Stop believing in the fact that you'll study all the chapters when the exams start. Trust me, it's never possible to thoroughly complete all the chapters in the last minute. So you got to start early. The first step is to prepare a systematic time table. Prepare your time table in such a way that you give sufficient time for every subject. Give more time to subjects that are hard for you. Poor at math? Add extra 2 hours to Math.
2) Do not ignore languages
One major mistake many children do is to ignore languages and totally focus only on core subjects. This is where you will miss your 'topper' tag. Languages are going to add up to your total score and hence, never make the mistake of ignoring it. Give sufficient time to languages as well which will give you an edge! After all, you got to score well in all the subjects to make to a great grand total!
3) Practice, practice and practice!
Be it Math or be it scientific derivations, you got to practice it very well. Without good practice, you'll forget what you learnt. No matter how deeply you've understood a particular concept, without proper practice you'll more prone to forgetting it. So yes, don't forget to practice.
