For a lot of students, maths is a tough nut to crack! Especially for kids in high school, maths is something that can make their nights horrible. Well you're not alone. There are many students who have similar problems. You got to deal with it in a systematic way so that you are at bay from exam blues.
After all, it's just a subject! No rocket science, right? Here are some simple tips which will help your 'complex' maths become much simpler for you. Read on!
1) Understand the concepts well
With poor understanding, you'll never be able to arrive at correct solutions. It's okay to learn slowly but ensure that you're learning it well. Don't forget to read and understand the entire concepts explained in Class 9 CBSE maths book. You can learn the concepts by taking help of your teacher, parents, or even friends! Ensure that you understand concepts very well before you start solving problems. If you know the concepts right, you'll get your solutions right!
2) Prepare a formulae sheet
Write down all the formulae of your entire class 9 math syllabus on a sheet of paper in your handwriting (Don't get ideas of getting it printed) and stick it onto your wall next to your bed. Everytime you see your wall, run a check through all these formulae. This will help you in remembering the formulae for life!
3) Work out the problems
There are some kids who read maths. They only go through the text book like they do in science or social and expect to understand. Believe me, it's next to impossible. Do not ever fall into that trap! Work out the problems in your rough book. Make it a routine. Read everyday and practice your problems! Do not read maths! Practice it! This is the first and the most important rule. All the problems in your class 9 CBSE maths book must be solved well in advance before your exam starts. I would say, practice it for at least 3 times.
4) Solve previous examination papers
After you think you're prepared enough, solve previous examination papers. Solving these will increase your confidence levels and give you an exam'ly' experience which will keep you away from exam blues. It'll make you feel you have a good understanding of all concepts and you can work better on concepts that you found it to be difficult.
